Interiors are where a work truck really shows its miles, and they are where every quick wash stops short. Steam through the hard surfaces, leather decontaminated and conditioned by hand, carpet and upholstery shampooed, and into the vents, seals and headliner nothing else touches.
The bay is in Odessa, and we take work from Odessa,
Midland and across the Permian Basin. Steam decon, leather strip & condition, headliner, vents, seals, and a sanitizer top coat.
Quoted after we see the vehicle
Never off a package name
01 / 04
Steam does what spray cannot
Most interior 'cleaning' is a wipe with a dressing on it: it moves the soil around and leaves a shine that attracts more of it. Steam lifts what is bonded to the surface, gets into grain and seams a cloth slides over, and does it without saturating panels or leaving residue behind for dust to stick to.
In this part of the country the soil is mostly fine caliche dust, and fine dust is exactly what packs into textured plastic, seat stitching and the base of the shifter where a towel never reaches. That is the difference you feel on a steamed interior.
Steam
Leather
Shampoo
Sanitize
02 / 04
Leather, properly
Leather gets decontaminated by hand before anything is put back into it. Conditioning dirty leather seals the dirt into the grain and leaves you with a slick surface over a dark, worn looking seat, which is why so many 'conditioned' interiors look worse a year later.
Clean first, condition second, and the UV load matters here too: a dash and a set of seats parked outside in Odessa take sun that cracks and fades them years earlier than the same vehicle in a garage. An SiO₂ dash and panel protectant is the cheap insurance against that.
03 / 04
The places a wash never gets to
Headliner, vents, door seals, the channels under the seats, the seams where the carpet meets the sill. Individually none of them is the reason a vehicle feels dirty; together they are the entire reason. Carpet and upholstery get shampooed and extracted, hard surfaces get steamed, and a sanitizer top coat goes down at the end.
Then put your nose in it. A finished interior does not smell like an air freshener, it smells like nothing, because the thing that was making the smell is gone rather than covered up.
04 / 04
Work trucks are the honest test
A lease with 12,000 miles is easy. A crew cab that has hauled tools, dogs, kids and lunch across the Basin for four years is where the standard actually shows. Same routine, more hours, and we will tell you up front what will come out and what has gone too far: a burn, a bleach mark or a stain that has been heat set through a summer is not something a shampoo undoes, and you deserve to hear that before you pay for it.
Yes, and it is one of the more time consuming things we do: hair woven into carpet fibre has to be lifted rather than vacuumed. Tell us it is a factor when you book so the vehicle gets the bay time it needs.
Can you get a smoke smell out?
Often, but not always, and how far it has gone into the headliner and the vents is what decides it. We will give you an honest read when we see the vehicle instead of quoting a guaranteed fix.
How long does an interior detail take?
A refresh is a few hours. A full steam decontamination with carpet shampoo and leather work on a vehicle that has been working is most of a day.
Do you shampoo the seats?
Yes. On the package menu seat shampoo is priced per seat on top of the carpet, because a vehicle with two seats to do and one with seven are not the same job. See the pricing page for where each package lands.
Should I take the child seats out first?
Please do, if you can. We are not going to reinstall a child seat for you (that is yours to fit correctly), and the area under it is usually the part that most needs the attention.
